WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TOO!

Alot has been happening around here this past week that has kept me busy and not having time to stay connected to you all! Nothing bad, just getting some much needed things done! First off been sorting through stuff to go to the dump and stuff to go to the metal place. It's amazing how you accumulate this stuff! Had someone haul off the metal things that have been here, that I wanted gone! Good check that off, then had them haul a load off to the dump, check that off! I am so glad that those things are gone, happy dance inserted here! While cleaning out the barn, there was a pile of wood, I lifted it and was moving it and came upon a nest of field mice! Well, I ask you "Who needs a cat when you have Shelby?" You don't! You know she killed every last one of them! And she did it in normal cow dog fashion, sort and cut them off and then take them out! LOL! Wish I had a video it was hysterical! She didn't eat them thank goodness, so to teach my useless cat, what he is supposed to be doing. I picked them up and came and put them in his feed bowl! Crazy cat, the dog is whipping you in this department! Been rearranging the garage to be more functional as a garage and feed room! That's what I've been up too! So excited that today is early release and little cowgirl is on spring break next week! Woo hoo! Nothing planned, just some quality family time as hubby will be off some of the time too! Double woo hoo! Happy Friday everyone!

Doesn't cleaning just make you happy when all the stuff is hauled off! I love it when we get to haul crap away! Enjoy your family week!

I have a barn cat that needs a lesson or too. My Jack Russell kills more mice than she does.

Sounds like spring fever got a grip on you!

Where I board they used to have a little mutt dog (well, little to medium sized). That dog caught mice, gophers and would corner a skunk and bark until the owner came out with his gun. She was awesome.
The cats are soooo lazy that when we cleaned the grain/hay/straw storage room (attached to the barn) there were tons of mice tunnels in the dirt under the pallets. Oh yeah, and the cats LIVE in that room!! Its where there water is and there is always at least one cat curled up on a straw bale.
Stupid, useless cats!! lol

I love to get a good cleaning done!! I have been doing that inside the house, finding places for everything. I was so sick of junk laying around and clothes not having places!! I am glad you are getting things done!!

Your dog is hilarious! I would have loved to have seen her going after those mice!! That is great!

Can't wait for spring to get here to get some cleaning up done around here. We're still under two feet of snow so it's going to be a while. Warm today though almost hitting 50*! Snow will melt fast with that temp!

That's quite a mouser you've got there! lol!

I love it when major cleanups like that get accomplished. I'm all for the happy dance.;)

LOVE seeing Savannah getting to show a goat. Looks like fun. Be careful-next thing you guys know, you'll be raising "show" goats-LOL.

That's funny about your cat and dog. Our lab dogs have ALWAYS been way better mousers than the cats.

They will even go after rats! It's quite the sight to see.

Sounds like your chore list is much like mine. Our metal crap went off to the recyclers today....now for the rest of the junk. LOL

Sounds like that dod did a great job. Here the cats would be fighting with the dog to get whatever scurries about even moles and rabbits are fair game. I can't complain about my cats at all.
