Hi Kris! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I have seen you commenting on Adrienne's blog and have always thought I should check yours out. Its very nice to meet you and I love that you guys work with horses so much. I have been a horse lover all my life and even owned 2 of them until we moved back to town. Long story. Anyways, I will be back to visit again!!!

Jennifer,
Thanks for stopping by! I do love our horses! The picture is of our Bay horse "Preacher" and a calf, we were about to starting working cows, and I looked up and he was trying to get closer to the calf!! There is just something I love about this picture. I am glad we have as well and look forward to blogging with you!

I noticed you are in Texas. My husband has family in Dumas, TX. Are you very far from there? My father-in-law graduated from Dumas high school and I have only been there once and that was for my husband's grandmas funeral. I wish I could have know her before that. We talked once and that was it. None of his family from Texas could make it for our wedding.

We do not live close to Dumas, we are 30 minutes from Tyler or 1 1/2 from Dallas. Do you know were that is?? Sorry to hear aobut his grandma. Sad sometimes the only times we see family is for weddings or funreals. Everyone lives away from each other or so busy. I diffently miss my sister, she lives in GA. But she is the reason I blog, she had one and wanted me to start one to keep in touch. I am really enjoying blogging and all my new friends!!
God Bless,
Kris

Love the picture! There's just nothing like being in the country where you're able to capture moments like this.

Love all the pictures of your Quarter Horses! :) Besides working in law enforcement, I own my own business training horses part-time. Been riding all my life and have owned 5 horses (2 of which I rescued). You are truly lucky to have a ranch of your own! :)

Hi! glad you stopped by via Frazzled Farm Wife, she and I have been blogging back and forth for a few months now. I love to hear about the farms and ranches and of course all about the horses. We have what I call a minifarm with our horses. We have about 400 acres but we actually live on the fringe of a developement near town so have the best of both. Our 5 horses are our babies and we love them all. We have been going through a rather hard time with our 26 year old appy who foundered in May due to eating too much green grass. It's been an all summer event but we think we are making good progress now as he will be having shoes put on tomorrow. Yippee! Hopefully he will be more comfortable now and make even more progress. I have been reading down through some of your posts and you really have a busy horse life! Your daughter is adorable, I love the picture of her cutting the cows! Wonderful that you are a christian family, sure makes life easier to know that Someone else is in charge and knows all our joys and sorrows even before we do! Thanks again for stopping by and come again soon! :o)
