BLACKJACK LAND & CATTLE COMPANY: Hi.......

Hi.......

The last couple of days I have been spending time with Savannah since she goes back to school Tuesday from Christmas Break. Just playing, coloring whatever, good mother daughter time. I love her being home and will miss her when she goes back. Angel has been doing good and the incision looks well. She loves being treated like a princess and let's the boys know she's still in charge! Sad news, my uncle R.M. passed away on the 2nd. His funeral will be Tuesday in Honey Grove, TX. So we will be heading out early Tuesday morning for that. It seems the only time family gets together is for weddings and funerals. Everyone gets so busy and lives far apart. He will be buried at the same cemetery where my mom is and it has been bringing up alot of memories. I have not been to the cemetery in at least 4 years or so. Don't get me wrong I think and miss my mom everyday. But this is bringing up memories of her last year and her passing. So that is why I have been MIA, just been in a funk!

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your uncle; may God rest his soul. I know what you mean about family only getting together at weddings and funerals, we get so busy with our own lives that it's hard to take time for family. Last year we all got together for my dad's 80th , it was great. Hugs to you and your family.

You've just repeated words I've said a 100 times! I'm sorry to hear of your uncle. After 21 years, I still cry when I see my Daddy's grave, I still feel the emotions, and can see and hear the sounds. However, they don't knock me flat like they used to. Now, they are a healing balm. Knowing that I survived and am a better person because of it. You will be okay because you DO NOT walk alone!

Blessings~

My husband lost him mom about 4 years ago. We don't visit her grave a lot either. It's not that we don't miss them, it's all the emotions that we don't want revisiting.

I am sorry about your Uncle. And it is really sad how busy we all get and don't go to visit with family. It's like that here too.

And there is nothing better than spending some quality mom and daughter time!!

I am so sorry for your loss. I, too, feel the loss of my dear aunts and uncles, as well as my parents, with the passing of each one. I have so many wonderful memories. I try to remember the good times, because it is so hard to deal with loss.

Oh How are you doing, I am sorry for your loss. Weddings and funerals are the only time our families get together as well. Take care my friend.

I'm just trying to catch up on reading my favorite blogs so I'm way late with this comment...

Well, it's great to have time with Savannah isn't it?! With busy lives, you need to take that mother/daughter time when you can get it!

Sorry to hear about your uncle...and your mom too, even though it's been a few years. Yep, wedding and funerals...I think it's that way in most families...sad but true.

My Mom & Dad are both gone. We lost the last of my Dad's siblings just this last year; there were 9 if them. I've got one more uncle on my Mom's side that lives in Minnesota.

Thanks for letting us know you didn't fall off the edge of the earth...I'll keep you in my prayers~~
