How cute, got another picture to save and get to Granny.
On a personal note, Frances' birthday is November 2 and she'll be 80. I was thinking about trying to get us all together for a birthday party on the closest weekend to her birthday. Do you think you all can be there? I'll get back to you with details if it works out. So many of us to get in one spot at the same time.

What an adorable picture! Looks like they are going to get along just fine thankyouverymuch! Will she be able to ride him? What about a cart, that would be fun!

You guys had a great day on the field trip. The pic of the three of you is so nice. That's a keeper!

Awh!! It's so cute to see your daughter getting close to the donkey. I bet that donkey is in heaven with you guys. Have you been donkey tracking yet? I tried it with my colt and ended up in the dirt!! LOL!!

To answer all your questions: Yes she has ridden him barback~he didn't seem to mind it!

Yes I have been tracking him and hubby fixed me a breakaway rope and I have been heading him and heeling him. It really has helped me!

I will say he is the 1st donkey I have ever had and they are truly funny little creatures! He follows me everywhere! When you start rubbing his ears, he melts into a blob and leans on ya! He's a talker and let's you know when he thinks he should be fed! He doesn't like carrotts, she was upset he wouldn't eat it! He's getting used to Shelby, thank goodness! He is now turned out with the horses all the time and they are doing great! I'm glad we got one, I'm enjoying him!

Not all horses are horses. I like this photo.

That's a great picture. I love donkeys and think they make great pasture pals for the horses. Not to mention you can learn a lot of "equine-ship" by dealing with donkeys, with their different disposition (mules too).
