TEAM ROPING
Yesterday there was a team roping at a cowboy church in Jacksonville. Hubby went to rope in it, the weather was absolutely beautiful! Him and "Roo" did a great job! I'm so very proud of them! He had several runs and came back in the short gos with all his runs! Didn't break the barrier and "Roo" handled very well. All in all a great day!! He has team roped for years on "Pesky" (aka Old Man), he retired him about 5 years ago. Wish I had more pictures of them too, man they were awesome to watch. He won tons on him and "Pesky" is truly a one of a kind horse! I will have to do a post on him, he has a awesome story. Lawsie the day something happens to him. He has started "Roo" in team roping and is slowly starting to haul him. "Roo" is his day working horse, but a green horse when it comes to team roping. The plan is to get "Roo" going and I'm going to head off of him and he is going to heel off my mare. We'll be team Woodall!

That really looks like fun. I sure wish I was younger and could do things like that. I'm afraid there just isn't enough time to try all the new things I'd like to do though.

Yay for Roo! The photos are great fun to look at. Our two boys were on their way to being "heeling" horses, until we "stole" them from that poor cowboy. I dont know what he is riding these days...something homely, i suppose.
