WESTERN WEDNESDAY

This picture was taken of us team sorting about 3 years ago! I was trying to find another picture, but couldn't find it! So I came across this one and thought why not! We do not have very many pictures of us riding together. I am riding my mare "Angel" and he is riding "Preacher!" Team Sorting is a blast, if you have never tried it I would recommend it! I hope you all have a great and blessed Wednesday!

Team penning is too much fun. Although, we don't do it too often. My grandfather would probably come out of his grave and beat my butt for chasing cattle around like that. I like the numbered sorting for colts though. That hasn't hit South Dakota yet, but we are going to do some with the 4-H kids this year. Hoping to give them something new to do.
That Extreme Race is what I would love to get to do though. We kind of set one up at the ranch to play with last year. Another thing that South Dakota has not caught onto yet....

We love to watch penning and sorting. My horse skills are not up to par yet to try it myself. My girls all get a kick out of watching the cows run.

I announced at a sorting competition a couple of years ago. It was the first time I had seen the event. It was really cool. I had a great time. I think this would be so much fun to participate in. I wonder if anyone would be teammates with me and my crazy Arab stallion. lol

I don't know what it is but it looks like fun. Just riding a horse used to be fun. I even talked to them.

Looks like a blast. We "team sort" but it's not "for fun" just work.

Very very cool. This event happens at our shop every Sunday and it gets interesting...

Yea Mikael - One of the cowiest horses I ever rode was a purebred Arabian stallion. He would literally eat a cow.

My vet does this all over the east coast and has a blast and does really well. I would love to try it sometime but would probably land in the mud!

I always say that there are 'doers' and 'talkers'. Well, in this case, there are 'doers' and 'watchers' and, I'm afraid to say that I'm just a watcher! Looks great fun, though.
