EXTREME RACE

Okay since Mikey asked I guess I will go ahead and post pics from the Extreme Race today. We could not get pics of some of the obstacles, the way the course was set up. It was at a cowboy church in our area. I ran a 7.21 and hubby ran around a 8, but do not know where we placed. We left before it was over so I will know later our placings. They had you carry a rain slicker and put on a designated spot, Texas 2-step, mailbox, gate, water crossing, log drag, reining pattern, backing through barrels, 3 log jumps, a pavilion with Noodles hanging down, bridge and trailer load. The event is timed, but you are judged on your horsemanship. The time comes in if there is a tie. It is great practice to take them somewhere else and do these. It is funny to see the things that are boogers at one place and then not at another. And of course Savannah had a blast! First rattle out of the bag she found a mare that had a horse colt! So you can guess where she stayed. She was loving on him and feeding him grass from her hand! It was a great day and I spent it with my two favorite people and my horse!

Thanks for explaining what the extreme race is all about. I didn't have a clue. The pictures are really good especially the one with Savannah and the colt, soooo cute! That little gal isn't afraid of anything is she?

Have a wonderful Easter with your favorite people!! :o)

I need to go to a church like this! That totally rocks!
Looks to me like you did pretty good there, your mare doesn't look too freaked going thru the noodles! That's big scary stuff!
Thanks for posting them, that is really cool.

It looks like you had so much fun! { Alaina went with Gordon to the Oakridge horse show this week-end, and was in horse heaven! She's never been to one of that size, and so we're moving into a new phase of trying to find her a gentle horse (with some help from a friend who's owned and shown them for years). He's cautioned us about some things to watch out for, too.} We always enjoy seeing your pictures.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter season! I hope to catch up on my reading posts very soon.
Have a great week!
