FEEDING TODAY

Geared up and ready to go feed this morning! I'm wearing insulated coveralls, new down filled camo coat, rubber boots. Needless to say I stayed nice and warm! Thanks honey for the rocking coat! :)
And yes this is a picture from this morning! Crazy hen was sitting on eggs and hatched them out last week! I was shocked to say the least, they normally don't sit during the winter! Crazy weather even messed up the chickens! LOL!

"Willis" and his baby face! He's such a love! I was trying to get a picture of his whole head, but no he wanted to be closer to me!
Ice off our water troughs!
"Shelby" scoring a piece of the frozen treat! She had them spread all over the pasture by the time I was done breaking up both troughs! And yes she did eat frozen poop as well, didn't get a picture of it though!

It has been some crazy weather here too. 70 degrees one day and 40 the next. I can't believe you had ice on your water troughs!! That is crazy. It was sleeting here this morning.

You do look nice and warm!! And Shelby doesn't seem to mind the cold one bit.

Frozen poop, what a treat!! LOL!

That new coat sure does look warm. Good thing since it's mighty chilly today. Hubby did good.

Those crazy chicks are going to freeze their little tail feathers off!

Hey - So happy for the comment! Glad you came for a visit! I'm in Kansas and we have serious cold! Seven degrees yesterday - six inch ice off the steer's water tank! I need your coat! My husband just said last night, "I bet they're roping in Texas!" Would love to visit more if you'd like to share emails!

Blessings!

The weather even screwed up the chickens....it really has been a crazy year for weather. We have been cold here too....-14 degrees or so lately and the darn wind keeps blowing like crazy too making it more miserable.

Nice to know I'm not the only one messed up with this weather - at least I didn't hatch any babies! ha! Merry Christmas to you and your family.

You're even cute when we can't see you through all the clothes!! ;~)

That's a shocker to the system...shirt sleeves one day and winter clothes the next!

Crazy hen...wish mine would start laying again...lay pellets sure are expensive when they quit laying eggs...I actually had to buy eggs yesterday for baking...first time in 2 years!

Merry Christmas friend~~
