FINALLY...........
Finally I got to go out and shoot my new baby! Got it last week and between the weather and just being plain busy, haven't got to try it out. We went down to our farm and set up a target and practiced some.
Here is my new Ruger P95 gun.
Hubby trying it out! He likes it!
Me shooting it! I will have to say it is sweet! Love it Mrs. Mom! It is very easy to shoot! I am going to have to practice and get used to the sights. But we are VERY happy with it!!!
I took my bow and got some practice in on it as well. Hubby went crazy with the camera! He insisted I put this one in!
I used to do target competitions with my bow before I had my Little Cowgirl. I love shooting it! Hubby wouldn't shoot it though, he said he was a cowboy and not a Indian! He shoots a rifle! LOL! I think he was just scared I would show him up! We had a great time practicing, would have shot more, but ran out of bullets! We also took the rifle and shot it some. Ya he said I jacked it up! Got a bullet stuck in the action! He said it will do that if you don't eject the shells just right, well you think he should have told me that before I shot it! Well, better run we are going to eat lunch with little cowgirl!
Shooting is fun, isn't it. I have a little Sig 380 and just love it. The husband tried bow hunting but with his bad shoulders, he couldn't pull it very well. So we just stick to guns!
LOL I agree with Mikey- is there anything NOT in your abilities??? Way to GO girl!!!
Wixked happy that you like the Ruger. Now, ya gotta fess up babe--- who shot it first and how did you decide??? Did ya flip a coin, or just toss Hubby around and say it was YOUR turn??? LOL
Happy Shooting y'all!!!! And remember, Aim For Center Mass ;)
Mrs. Mom~ROTFL!!! There wasn't any discussion, I think it was known I was shooting it first! LOL! I do LOVE it! Glad it worked out that I got it! Sorry BECG!!! Next on the list is to get into a class and get my license!
That is so awsome! I have always loved arhary. We did it in gym glass in high school. A long time ago. I have always liked it. I have used a mechanical bow a few times. It's tuff. you must have some serious arm muscles. I am glad your hubby got some great pictures. Very cool.
I too love to shoot but the ole eyes aren't as good as they used to be.....:o( There are great competitions around here.
Thank you so much for all your kind words and thoughts of us this week. It has been really hard but God knows best and at some point I am going to do a post about some things that happened which truly had God's hand in it. How blessed we are to have had dear Buddy in our lives for so long.
Lovely pistol. Looks like it could be real handy. I used to compete in rifle marksmanship and i would like to learn more about using pistols. Looks like you and hubby had a fun day together.
Did you hear about the woman in Ft. Worth who took a shotgun from an intruder, in her home, wrestled with him til her husband got there, then the husband shot the intruder and wounded another? When I saw your new weapon of choice I thought about the story. I think it happened last week.
Awww man, I was so bummed we couldn't get a dealer to ship it to...sometimes it sucks living in the middle of nowhere. But...I am very glad you got it...and love it.
LOL-Tell hubby, even the Indians learned guns were better than bows and arrows-LMAO. But, archery is definitely a talent. You go girl!!
Look at you a modern day "Annie Hood!" LOL!! I want a Kimber something small I can handle! I did buy my husband a Mattews bow for Christmas two years ago, he's shot it twice!! His draw is a lot longer than mine or I would use it!! Congrats!! And you my friend entertain me!!
That reminds me, I have asked my husband to show me how to shoot a gun and he keeps forgetting. Perhaps I will just go to the local gun club and tackle it on my own.
I don't shoot a handgun as I have no need for one here, but I am the proud owner of two rifles; a Winchester Featherweight 30-06 that I put a fiberglass stock on and a 300 Savage saddle gun with open sights that my dad built for me. The 30-06 is my main hunting rifle.
Nice Ruger! I love the shots of you and your bow too! I love shooting guns but stink with the bow (and I am an archery instructor...go figure)! My kids both have their own guns...one has a Browning and one has a Ruger. They also both have their own bows....I really need my own gun, better start working on hubby!!!!!
I am a SAHM to my precious 7 year old little girl. I am married to a wonderful christian man and father. We are very involved at our church. I love spending time with my family and friends and riding my horses. God has truly blessed me and my family.

I've never fired a gun... but I do think it's a very important skill. You go, girl!
