Women's Retreat

The 2 day old horse colt and mama
On Saturday we went to a women's retreat at Beulah Land Ranch in Lindale, Texas. The guest speaker was Michele Carson one of the founders of Cowgirls of faith organization. She was wonderful, message was divine and fellowship was outstanding! We had a great time! Leave it to Savannah to go and befriend the owners and find a 2 day old horse colt and get a private tour of the place! She was at home! (I have no idea where she gets it!?!?!-LOL) After lunch she takes me out and shows me the animals. She has named the horse colt "Domino!" After the day was done the owner treated us to a wagon ride-pulled by 2 Clysdales! They were so awesome! They took us in 2 seperate trips and showed us some of there horses, which were Drafts, Perchron and some half Perchron and Quarter Horse. Cowgirls of Faith is a great organization for women. Sterling Grace made a charm for the Cowgirls of Faith and it is a cross with a horseshoe hung on it. I was able to get one and love it. It is called Ridin with the Lord. It has a card that comes with it and I wanted to share what it says with you. ....let us throw off everything that hinders us and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run the race that is marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1. Many times the Christian life is referred to as a race. Not a short sprint, but a long race that requires patience, persistence, and endurance to complete. Just as the horseshoe protects the horse's hoofs and is an essential part of preparing him to run, God's word protects our hearts and minds and prepares us to the run the race that Christ has marked out for us. This piece should remind you to saddle up each day with God's word so that one day you can say, "I have finished the race and have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7. I hope each of you had a great and blessed weekend.

Gorgeous pics!! Trust Savannah to make herself at home :)

And yes, they are hard to shoe. Ok, they're just like regular horses, but if they're bad, they're 10 times worse than a regular horse. If they're good, it's great. Just like to use a forge on those shoes. Little bit big to be cold shoeing.

Love the Christian message too. You are amazing woman!
