WE HAVE HAY!!!!!
We have hay! WHOO HOO!! Hay has been in such high demand since the drought several years ago and expensive! It diffently has been hard to come by. We did find some round bales right here close to the house for a good deal. So last Saturday we moved our hay to the house and are set for quite awhile. That is such a blessing. The horses loved to see it coming! They could hardly wait for the guys to get the string cut!! They have been getting pads of hay with there feed, but to have the round bales they are having a ball! They have been laying in the scrapes on the ground and sunning! We did put 2 bales out, since we have 5 horses eating on them. And since my mare tends to run everyone off! The little pig! Anyway, thank goodness we have hay, that is such a relief not to have to worry about!

YEAH!!!! When we had our horses, I remember how expensive it was. I love living in the city but I do miss my horses.
Yeah for hay!!!!!
Yeehaw! I know how you feel about getting your hay!!!! I am always so excited when I see the trucks coming to deliver it and put it in the loft!! It's a good feeling to have plenty of hay and shavings! I have never used the round bales but a lot of people do around here. The four guys that I have home would just eat themselves to death, they just don't know when to stop, sort of like me! ha!
Your horses are beautiful. I love dogs and then horses. Have been around them all my life. It was an interesting post.
Glad to hear that you got some hay! It is in shortage in alot of areas but we have been lucky here the last few years.

Congrats on the hay find. Yesterday I ended up buying alfalfa rather than our local grass hay. Why it's cheaper, after being trucked across the Cascade Mts, is beyond me. But it is, so that's what they're eating!
I remember a few years ago the price of hay went sky high when we had too much rain and it flooded all the fields and then hail hit and destroyed all the crops. I can also remember having hay shipped 10 hours to me because our area was in such sort supply!! That cost me a TON of money but I would do anything for my horses!! :)
Glad to see all y'all finally got the hay for your horses!! And I know they are just as happy to see it! :)
