HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY "ANGEL!" She is my horse and my favorite girl! Horses are such graceful, beautiful creatures and I am blessed that I have the honor to be around them. I have been riding her for about 2 years now. We had bought her for my son, but they could not get along. So I started riding her and we fit each other so well. One thing about her is she prefers women over men! And I think that is why she and my son did not get along. I am blessed to have such a great horse, she and I were made for each other. I enjoy every minute I spend with her and the boys!! (They may sound bad, but the boys are the other 3 horses!!! "Pesky", "Roan" and "Preacher") We have done all sorts of events including Team Sorting, Women's Ranch Rodeos, play days, pasture work, etc. I found a poem I wanted to share with you and I also found something my husband sent to me as well. My husband has always said he should be jealous of the horses, since I spend so much time with them. Really he is grateful that I take care of everything to do with them. I hope you enjoy as I share my passion with you. And to many more birthdays and happy days together "Angel!!"
AS I SIT UPON MY HORSE
I sit upon my horse
And gaze at the field
A field of rippling grass
Blowing in the wind
I sit upon my horse
And gaze at the sky
A clear blue sky
Filled with clouds
I sit upon my horse
And gaze at the sun
A yellow sun up high
Shinning on my face
I sit upon my horse
And gaze at this world
A world fashioned,
Created by my God.
**I have always said it is such a awesome feeling to be loping out across the pasture with my horse. The wind in your hair, the noise there hooves make, it is so surreal. That is probably when I feel closet to the Lord. It is such a hard feeling to describe. I am blessed to have these loving creatures to share my time with**
This is a article my husband emailed to me, and his reply was "You have all the symptoms and getting worse by the minute!"
